Abstract

Objectives: Forehand drive merupakan teknik dasar yang paling dominan dan fundamental dalam permainan tenis meja modern. Teknik ini berperan signifikan dalam menghasilkan serangan yang efektif, akurasi pukulan, serta penguasaan permainan secara keseluruhan. Keberhasilan eksekusi forehand drive tidak hanya bergantung pada kekuatan lengan semata, melainkan merupakan hasil integrasi kompleks antara faktor biomekanika, kondisi fisik, dan kemampuan koordinasi motorik. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mensintesis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi performa teknik forehand drive pada atlet tenis meja berdasarkan temuan-temuan ilmiah terkini dalam rentang publikasi 2015–2025.

Methods: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tinjauan naratif (narrative review) dengan menganalisis berbagai publikasi ilmiah dari basis data Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, dan Google Scholar. Analisis difokuskan pada aspek biomekanika, pembelajaran motorik, koordinasi gerak, kekuatan fisik, serta strategi pelatihan.

Results: Kajian mengidentifikasi empat tema utama yang berkontribusi terhadap performa forehand drive, yaitu: (1) biomekanika gerak—khususnya rotasi batang tubuh dan rantai kinetik segmental; (2) komponen kekuatan fisik terutama daya ledak tungkai; (3) koordinasi motorik dan sinkronisasi gerak multi-segmental; serta (4) strategi latihan berbasis umpan balik dan teknologi analisis gerak.

Conclusion: Forehand drive merupakan keterampilan kompleks yang memerlukan pengembangan aspek biomekanika, fisik, dan kognitif secara simultan. Program latihan terintegrasi berbasis bukti ilmiah dan pemanfaatan teknologi modern direkomendasikan untuk mengoptimalkan penguasaan teknik forehand drive pada atlet tenis meja.
